PRIVACY POLICY
What happens to your information?
We don’t sell it. Here’s what we collect, why we collect it, and how to reach us about it.
Questions about anything on this page? Send a note through the Contact page.
Effective date: September 1, 2026 · Applies to: leadwithgold.com and every page on it, including our landing pages, books, forms and email communications.
Who is responsible for your information?
Lead With Gold, LLC is the business responsible for the information described here. We publish books, book summaries, toolkits and educational resources, and we offer paid advisory sessions.
What information do you collect?
Only what we need to send you what you asked for.
→ Identifiers. Name, email address, and anything else you type into a form, including company, role and your message.
→ Purchase information. What you bought and when. Card details go straight to our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
→ Internet and device activity. Pages viewed, referring source, approximate location derived from IP address, browser and device type.
→ Email engagement. Whether you opened an email and which links you clicked, if you are on our list.
→ Communications. Messages you send us and notes from calls.
Do you ever collect health information?
No. Never.
People read our health content and sometimes want to tell us their whole story. We understand why. But we do not ask for, receive or store your diagnoses, medical records, test results or prescription history. Nothing we publish requires it.
We also do not intentionally collect other categories that privacy laws treat as sensitive, including Social Security numbers, financial account credentials, precise geolocation, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, union membership, or sexual orientation.
If you send us something we did not ask for, tell us and we will delete it.
Why do you collect it?
To do the thing you asked us to do.
→ To deliver what you requested. The book summary, the toolkit, the session.
→ To reach you back. Your contact details let us send what you asked for and schedule the call.
→ To send the emails you opted into, and to stop sending them the moment you opt out.
→ To improve what we publish. Aggregated, de-identified engagement tells us which pages are actually useful. No individual is ever named.
→ To run and secure our business, and to meet tax, accounting and legal record-keeping obligations.
Do you sell or share my data?
No.
We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, which is how California law defines "sharing." We do not sell contact lists. We have never done it and it is not a line of business we want.
Who do you disclose it to?
→ Service providers that run our business. Website and course hosting, payment processing, email delivery, calendar scheduling and web analytics. They process data on our behalf under contract and cannot use it for their own purposes.
→ Your own advisors, if you ask us to. That is your call, not ours.
→ Legal and business transfers. Where the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. We would tell you if that happened, unless we were legally barred from doing so.
What about cookies and tracking?
→ Essential cookies keep the site working, including login and cart. These cannot be turned off.
→ Analytics cookies tell us which pages people read. Decline these and nothing about your visit breaks.
→ Marketing cookies track interaction with our emails, opt-ins and affiliate links, including Amazon.
You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time.
How long do you keep it?
As long as we need it for the purpose we collected it.
→ Customer records are kept for the life of the relationship plus the period our tax, accounting and legal obligations require.
→ Contact details for subscribers are kept until you ask us to remove them, or until they go stale.
→ Web analytics are kept in aggregate and are not tied back to you.
What are my rights?
You can ask us for any of the following, and we will do it. No fee, no hoops.
✓ Know. See what we hold about you and get a copy.
✓ Correct. Fix anything inaccurate.
✓ Delete. Remove your information, unless the law requires us to keep it.
✓ Portability. Receive your data in a usable, portable format.
✓ Opt out. Of marketing email, at any time, from any message or by telling us.
✓ Object or restrict. Tell us to stop processing your information for a given purpose.
✓ Limit use of sensitive information. We do not collect it, so there is nothing to limit.
Which of these are legal rights where I live?
Depending on your state, some of the above are enforceable rights rather than courtesies. We extend all of them to everyone, so you do not have to check.
→ California. The CCPA as amended by the CPRA gives residents the right to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, and limit use of sensitive personal information, plus the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined.
→ Other states with comprehensive privacy laws, including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Tennessee, Minnesota, Maryland and others as they take effect, provide comparable rights.
→ EU and UK visitors. Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, our lawful bases are your consent, the performance of a contract, and our legitimate interests in operating and marketing an educational business. You may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
How do I exercise a right?
Reach us through our contact page and say what you want. We will verify your identity in a way proportionate to the request, usually by confirming the email address we already hold, and respond within the period the applicable law requires. Where none applies, we aim for 30 days.
You may use an authorized agent. We will ask for proof that you gave them permission.
Exercising any of these will never affect the price you pay or the service you get.
How is it protected?
Information moves over encrypted connections and is stored with access limited to the people who need it.
No system is perfect, and anyone who claims otherwise is selling something. If a breach ever affected your information, we would notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires, and tell you what we were doing about it.
Do you collect information from children?
Not from children, no.
We publish a great deal about children's learning, but it is written for parents, guardians and educators, and they are the ones creating accounts and submitting forms. This site is not directed to anyone under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from minors. If we learned we had, we would delete it.
Where is my information stored?
In the United States. If you contact us from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed here, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.
What about links to other sites?
This site links to scheduling tools, booksellers, practitioners and published research. Once you leave, their privacy practices govern, not ours. We would encourage you to read theirs too.
What if this policy changes?
We will post the updated version here with a new effective date at the top. If a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will tell you directly rather than hoping you notice.
Who do I contact?
A person, not a ticket queue. Reach us through our contact page and it comes straight to us.
Still have a question about your data?
Ask before you send us anything. We would rather answer it now than have you wonder.
